Why I laugh at the left and their lapdogs the maintream media, regarding the Republican primary By Todd Juvinall

What a hoot!  Having been on my share of primary races for political office, I came to understand right away what the process was all about.  I don't know if other countries and their political processes require a primary, maybe so, but here in America it is the same as "mom and apple pie". It is the battle ground for the right to lead.

The 24/7 news cycles breathlessly explains every 15 minutes that the Republican primary is simply terrible.  It is diminishing the party because the candidates are saying things about each other.  It just must be terrible because, oh my goodness, it will hurt the survivor in the general election!  I laugh my self into hyperventilation listening to these numskulls on the news.  Even in the little local leftwing blogs we hear the same mantra.  Posters and commenter's alike just don't seem to understand the process.  What amazes me is the present occupant of the White House was in a knock down, drag out fight with Hillary and Bill just three years ago!

All these numbskull's on the left and in the media seem to have lost their memories.  The democrats started out with what, seven or eight and over the primary battle for the democrat nominee most were all peeled off to end up with two.  Wasn't old Joe Biden one of those peeled off?  Yep.  He called Obama early on in their primary a "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,"didn't he?  Yep.  Well, since the left is held to no standards by the press, they can say and do anything outrageous and naughty and it may get one pass in the next days edition (the National Enquirer fills in becasue the mainstream won't go after a democrat).  A Republican gets smashed day after day and the press will bring it all up again in the fall to aid Obama.

The idea of the primary is simply "the last man standing", you know, "the survival of the fittest", " the king of the jungle"! No big deal.  I think it is great.  The difference though this time out is the "junk yard dog" press has its teeth in the candidates and won't let go.  They also do not explain the pprocess which I think they should do at least as a simple lead in to each ridiculous story they do. 

If there was ever a truly democratic pprocess to pick our leaders, this has t be it.  Heck, poor Mitt Romney gets no respect even when he wins a state's primary.  That tells me the "in the bag for Obama" press corp think Romney is the biggest threat. The man has more delegates than all the other candidates combined (and securing the majority is what it is all aout) but you would think he has none. The process of selling yourself in 50 states is greuling and costly.  A nation of 300 million only produces nine people to go for the top dog spot so we all know it must be tough.

Romney is showing me he has some staying power and I have been careful  not to get all exited every time Newt, Ron or Rick attack Romney because it is just one stop in the nomination journey.  There has been no letup against Romney though.  Yet there he is in the lead.  The next attacks will be against his religion because none of the other strategies seem to be working.  The attacks will come from the "progressives".  Those people who are so tolerant of other religions, like Islam or Buddha types.  They will trash Romney's religion.  Just watch.

I think any of the Republicans would be better, way better, than Obama.  I just think Romney has proven so far to have the staying power to get to the finish line.  He seems to me to be a nice man, a smart man, and a good businessman.  I listened today to his interview on O'Reilly and I did not know he gave away his inheritance to charity.  He earned his money the right way.  Hard work and smarts.  Ethical and friendly.  So can a really nice man become President?  We will see.  But to all the busybodies spouting off about the primary process, I say, just don't get all excited about the battles, we will win the war because we are simply culling the chaff.

Red Light Ball a blast. The people that make Nevada County work were there! by Todd Juvinall.

Every year now for thirteen years, the Red Light Ball has attracted thousands of people for a nice meal, great dancing and a fine purpose at the big building at the fairgrounds (my dad helped build it way way back).  It raises money for important equipment and other things the local police and fire personnel need.

Two men were honored as heroes for pulling a motorist from a burning vehicle.  Mike Fannuchi, one of the heroes was a classmate of mine at NUHS. There were 550 people who bought tickets and along with my fiancee, we sat a table with some very nice folks.  We saw many of the folks that make our county work, local business people and other from the area. It was really nice to see so many old friends, old meaning knowing them for  long time.  There was a lot of gray haired and bearded men who now sport a Van Dyke.  The seems to be the rebelliousness in men who were always clean shaven in their youth.

Bill Drown and Jeanette Royal have been the folks in charge of putting this together and it was great.  The decorations were done by Royal and they were awesome.  The food was catered as usual and I must say it was tasty.  The bar served wine, beer and mixed drinks.  I stuck with water. I always wondered what would happen to someone who imbibed a bit too much and left the shindig in their car? Would the police take them in?  Just a thought in humor.

So we all danced and chatted and had a great time.  Many elected officials were there as well.  Brian Daille, a Lassen County Supervisor running for the new First District Assembly seat was jetting around the rom.  Doug LaMalfa, Hank Weston and past Supervisor Bill Schultz were there too.  We finished the evening on the dane floor, pretty tired from doing the boogaloo all evening.  It was a very good time for a very good cause.

Oh and I just remembered, Monty East, honored by the Sheriff for all his good works here in Nevada County over the years, listed some of Monty's accomplishments as well.  Monty listed CABPRO and yes, he was one of the original Board Members back in 1993.  Along with Ty Short, Jerry Borgnis, Lowell Robinson and Maskey Heath, Monty was and is a true American original patriot. It was very nice to see him and his lovely wife Judy and have a chance to chat for a few moments.  They are great people. I met Monty right after he moved here in 1985 to run the local PG and E division.  He took all the local officials on a tour of the Yuba Bear , Drum Powerhouse up by Dutch Flat.  We stayed friends aver since.

 

Gallup reports unemployment at 9% for mid February 2012. By Todd Juvinall

I was shocked when I read this article from Gallup.  Didn't we just hear from the President how rosy things were becoming?  The last report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics said the rate dropped to 8.3% and the country was headed to prosperity.  What they didn't tell us though was 1.2 million of our fellow citizens dropped out ot the quest to find a job.  So,smaller pie of potential employees made for a smaller unemployment number.

We all knew the numbers were bogus from the government.  Yet the mainstream media to our chagrin kept reporting the lie of a lower number.  Thank goodness for the alternate media and FOX News.  Yet, the whole exercise is enough to make a American very sad.  I want anyone who wants to work, or needs to work for that matter, to have employment.  We don't want to see our fellow citizens suffer, but with a 99 week unemployment check and the uptick of disability claims we get to see the results of years of "cradle to grave" policies instituted by our caring legislators.  The economic chickens have come home to roost.

How is it 535 members of Congress can't repair the mess?  The fear of not being reelected is so great apparently that bankruptcy is a preferred alternative in our country at the present time.  How come we elect people that place our children into involuntary servitude of debt?  Do they know something we don't?  My guess is the debt will be tossed out at some point because it cannot be repaid and it is undermining our currency and our national security.  There is no way we can keep going as we are.  When you add the debt and the regulations spewed out by DC and Sacramento, we are all now indentured servants.  It seems to me we have fallen and can't get up!

So we all need to question the statistics and the numbers since little faith is available to our government sources.  These people gave away three trillion hard earned debt dollars to Solyndra type companies and friends of Barry, Harry and Nancy.  That money, errrr, debt, gained nothing for the country.  Of course the Federal Reserve has been printing new dollars but in a short while that will lead to terrible inflation and the people will be hosed once more.  The smartest people on the planet, well, that is how they describe themselves, have put our country at terrible risk of default.  With these high gasoline rices and the cost of food on the rise as well, the folks the politicians say they really care about (they never care about the rich), the middle class and the poor, are actually the people getting trounced by them.

So what to do with all this information?  Be sceptical.  Question the powers that be.  Don.t fall for the slogans of the left.  Vote out the people putting you in slavery and replace them with freedom loving Americans.  It is easy to do if you really care about the country.

I was emailed by someone who reviews the different leftwing blog sites for content and that person has finally been bored into a bag.  The left is so predictable and uneducated in life the person told me, that they have driven into a ditch and can't get out.  I must say I have to agree.

While people on the right are working and supporting themselves and their families with legitimate endeavors, these posters on the lefty sites are busy sitting in front of their computer screens (probably donated by a non-profit) and spewing ridiculous tripe all day long.  Now, I really don't care what these scofflaws have to say other than they could be affecting the young people who are still naive.  What makes these leftwing folks tick?  A government check it appears.

One half of Americans receive some form of money from the government and my guess is these local bloggers and posters (they all appear to be undr 60) are part of that 50%.  How else could one explain their comments attacking business, entrepreneurs and non-union companies?  When I listen to them at the podium in Congress or the lectern in Sacramento, I am struck by thew nastiness they exhibit against the people who truly make America work and who employ the folks.  These lefty bloggers and their heroes trash America at every turn, they have nothing to say other than screeching against our system.  Where in the heck did their standard of living come from?  Did it get created out of thin air?  No, people who DO made it possible for these ingrates to have an IPOD, a big screen and even a loaf of bread.

What is this self hatred I continually hear from these people.  Anyone who achieves other than their friends the regulators) are the targets of their hate and nasty words.  How did America's left get so mean?  I think it is envy.  Some posters on leftwing blogs must be leading some very sad lives.  Simply to be born into America is a lottery win yet these people just complain constantly.  America is bad, corporations are bad, taxes are good (as long as they are exempt) . Please people on the left, you need to get a life.  America is better, much better, perhaps the greatest, yes the greatest, country the earth has ever seen.  You all need to get on board the train of positive.  We will welcome you if you want to change your ways and your views to reflect the good of our country.  Come over and try it.  It is cathartic! Even your health will improve.

Bill Manning, democrat nut from Carmel is the author.  hen we read this we could not stop laughing but unfortunately this nut from Carmel is serious.  If anyone had any doubts about the lefts desire for a total nanny state, this should clear things up.  We say the biggest threat to the kids in our schools are these leftwing nannies.  Let us recommend the orange circles on the map be "democrat legislator free zones".  Then the state's children would really be safer.

AGENDA 21 to be explained on March 1, 2012

Penny's Diner in the Fowler Center will be the site of a presentation on Agenda 21 by Judy Caler on March 1, 2012 beginning at 5:30 PM.  CABPRO and its members are looking forward to hearing this important  overview of a United Nations program impacting our lands. Caler did a article back in August 2011 in the CABPRO Report  which you can find HERE.

Caler also puts out a newsletter online called ROAR.

Obama Budget, more smoke and mirrors, he learned it from California! By Todd Juvinall

After my monthly meeting with local conservatives ended, I took a look at the new proposed budget by the Deficit -in-Chief and once again, SOP!  There seems to be no reality when Obama is spending other peoples money, errr, should I say, compiling debt other people will pay?  Yeah, there I got it.  Even with 535 men and women in Congress, it appears to me a case of mass hysteria is prevalent and incurable.

What is it Obama and his minions are trying to accomplish?  He is spending four billion dollars a day just in DEBT! Why would he do this?  Why would Congress allow this?  I am totally perplexed.  Do they all know something we don't?  I must say, the personal fear politicians have  of being blamed for something bad (and they appear to think Americans will rebel and toss them out if they don't spend all this debt) trumps reality.  Is it better to keep spending our great country into oblivion and send everyone to the poorhouse?  Apparently so.  The political class measures their personal electability by voting for a balanced budget with their electability to spend trillions in debt our great, great, great grandchildren won't even be able to pay back.  They seem to not care.  Why?

I listen to all the bloviating coming from Washington but things don't change.  I was hoping there would be a daily press conference by the leaders I respect.  I wanted them to state every day they would be proposing a single year balanced budget, a real one, not some phony smoke and mirrors we seem to get every time.  Heck, my people even seemed to cave real fast on the so-called "payroll tax" reduction.  I think they need to call it what it really is, a theft of social security money that shortchanges the elderly!  Ah, those "big brother" think-speak words.  You gotta love them!

It is the "pay me now or pay me later" philosophy.  Wimpy from the Popeye cartoons had nothing on Obama.  The democrats in the US Senate, led by Harry Reid, have stalled all the progressive bills to begin fixing the mess.  At last count, 26 House passed bills were siting in the Senate round-file in Reid's office.  I thought these people swore to uphold the Constitution and their main job, allocating the people's money, was their first and foremost duty!  I think that Reid is undermining the security of the United State and should remove himself for treasonous behaviour.  By refusing to do his job, bring forth bills to be voted on, up or down, he is breaking his oath and should resign.

There are many Republicans trying to do the right thing though.  Our Congressman Tom McClintock is one of them.  Paul Ryan and California's Darrel Issa are two  more.  Many of the folks who won in November 2010 are trying too.  In our state we have Dan Logue and Doug LaMalfa doing their best to bring reality to the Sacramento circus under the dome.The country has been at risk and it is getting worse each day as China buys our daily four billion. 

We discussed this topic and others as conservatives seem to be the only people concerned witht he debt and deficits.  We would fix it all in one year.

I rememebr Arnold, our Governator, complaining about the deficits here yet he had the "blue pencil" and could have single handily vbalance the budget the Legislature sent him.  He didn't do it of course and once again, words were hollow.  Action speaks louder than words and Americans are fed up with the words, promises never realized.  We want action and we want it now.

Democrats arguing about their new competing tax measures in San Diego, by Todd Juvinall

Like vultures fighting for the last few scraps of dead meat from a carcass on the ground, California democrats are meeting at their semi annual convention to conspire against the good people of California.  When I say conspire I actually mean that.  The different factions of their party have no intention apparently of cutting their overheated spending, they simply spend all their time talking more taxes.

Our Governor wants those two initiatives passed by the people to increase the sales tax and one to increasde the taxes of successful Californians who worked hard and made it.  Talk about "regressive".  Brown said this about the his lefty minions under the Capitol dome,

"Look, we've got some issues. We've got a tax measure, we have a little, few issues there, and we'll be talking about that from time to time," Brown said. "You'll get your marching orders soon enough."

So we have a few issues here?  Marching orders?  Yep, and Brown and the labor unions will be spending a lot of money to gather the signatures and convince the people to vote for his initiatives (and I thought they were opposed to "paid" signature gatherers?).  Not a hint from Brown about restructuring the budget, cutting wasteful sending or even lowering pension and unions contracts.  The left just wants more of our money apparently.  How "unsmart", and Californians see through it all.

Attendees and advocates of higher taxes and fees include Warren Buffet's business partner's daughter, Molly Munger.  She wants to increase taxes for education on everyone except the poorest Californians.  Isn't that special?  These rich, silver spoon liberals are simply compassionate aren't they?

Then we have Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez, D-Los Angeles, telling  delegates on Friday that defeating a so-called "paycheck protection" measure is more important than any candidate election this year. Say what?  Defeating a measure to disallow unions from stealing money from their own members and spending it on political issues and candidates is paramount?  This is how our "leaders" think.  These liberals ruining California could care less about the people.  They have their agenda and it does not include anyone except their little money grubbing supporters in public employee unions.

  Another attendee said this,

"This ballot measure is a fraud, it's phony and it's a lie," said Art Pulaski, executive secretary-treasurer of the California Labor Federation. "Imagine, just for a moment, a California where your mouths were taped the next time a Meg Whitman ran for governor."

These same unions and their supporters rail against the "Citizens United" Supreme Court decision allowing corporations to contribute to candidates yet  never look in the mirror to see the hypocrites they are.  The unions take money under force from their members to then give to democrats and democrat issues.  Even though there are some studies that say up to 40% of their members vote Republican.  That is what the  initiative is all about.  Freedom! Let each member donate his/her money to the candidates and issue they want, take the union bosses out of this scheme.  Speaker Perez will have none of it. He is the prime example of our legislative dysfunction.  California is in deep trouble.

With redistricting hijacked by the left and their gerrymandering now upheld by a timid California Supreme COurt, California could see a "super majority" in both houses of our legislature.  They would not even need the people's vote!  They could pass all the tax and fee increases they fancy. Somehow, California has become Greece! I wonder how long it will be before our credit rating is lowered again and what these brain dead democrats under the Dome will do when they totally run out of other people's money?

San Juan Mine application submitted to Nevada County

The mine is located on the San Juan Ridge about 17 miles north of Nevada City.  HERE is the full article in the Union Newspaper from today. It hopes to mine about 244,000 ounces of gold from the cemented gravels, all underground.

Tim Callaway, mine CEO will be in charge and his track record of environmental sensitivity is well known. He will not be using any chemicals to process the gold and it will be done underground.  The existing settling ponds wll be used to trap sediments and the water will be recycled. 90 jobs and all the ancillary expenses in our view will be a great benefit o the county.  Callaway has a good reputation with  people involved on all sides of the mining issues, we hope the County will get this permit processed ASAP so they can get going.
