Lara Logan is pretty amazing. While covering the Egyptian uprising last year, since then called the "Arab Spring", a angry mob of those misunderstood Islamic men attacked and brutally raped her. She thought she was going to die. HERE is the full article.
Logan is married and a mother of two small children and she has what she describes as recurring nightmares and daymares about the attack. I am always very nervous when I see women reporters in these hot-spots around the planet. Men in many places are no better than animals and women are less important to them than a camel or a cow. They are abused in many cultures and even in China, a woman was not allowed to birth a female child under threat of law.
America and the industrialized west seem to be the safest place for female reporter but even here there are many men who abuse them. I was raised that men protect their women and children yet we hear every day the horror stories of abuse. I am a simple fellow and if I was in charge, any man that was caught sexually abusing a child would lose his privates to the knife. Any man caught abusing, molesting or raping a boy or a girl of any age, would get the knife at the very east and the death penalty at the most.
We need to stop thinking that these men (mostly) are salvageable. They aren't. They should be removed from the planet if caught and convicted. Why should society pay to give these anti-humans room and board and our planets precious oxygen? They should not. We need to take back the streets from these people. We need to implement harsh penalties. We need to stop the PC world of appeals and more appeals. We the citizens need to be able to have the government recognize and take part in true justice. How many child molesters go right back and do some more after they were supposedly "cured" ? Most.
How is it that victims of these monsters don't get any sympathy? I am amazed every time I read a story like Lara's because women like her are simply so tough they make a man look no better than a sting of spaghetti. She survived a terrible attack and the men in Cairo got away with it. She has had to rebuild her life as best she can just as any child or woman must when attacked. In America we have done our best to implement programs to help in these people's recovery yet the problem is not solved for the whole populace. As I mentioned, the problem can't be solved when we allow the perpetrators to remain upright and breathing. I am sure this position I take on rapists and molesters will tick off the PC crowd, but tough.
All around the world there needs to be a no tolerance position and ultimate consequences for these men. It is a simple thing to me. We must remove them when caught and convicted, recidivism will become ZERO and our planets women and children will be safe.
