The Citizen's United decision by the US Supreme Court 's 5-4 vote has the leftwing n an uproar and their whining is so loud they will turn deaf if they don't stop. Antonin Scalia in an interview with AP-Obama folks, said this
"I don't care who is doing the speech - the more the merrier," Scalia said. "People are not stupid. If they don't like it, they'll shut it off."
My position exactly. HERE is the full AP-Obama article. The more speech the merrier. Speech purchased with money is still speech, guaranteed under our Constitution. If the whiners want to curtail money, then they have ulterior motives. I say instant disclosure after a donation and constant monitoring by the media (but they are too lazy) and the American voter gets all the information they want. If people don't like the ads, turn off the radio or the TV.
What interested me in the AP-Obama article was the question asker only mentioned corporations and not unions. The AP only asked or was concerned with "Citizens" in the South Carolina race for the Republican primary. No curiosity by the AP on Wisconsin where unions spent millions more to attack and defeat Republicans. But it is the lamestream media and I really don't expect any fairness.
The left in our country has decided the only way they can win in the campaign cash raising is to limit people. I am guessing they are telling us their voters on the left are simply too stupid to ascertain the veracity of the message and believe their voters lemming-like voting patterns might be in jeopardy. One thing I think the left is afraid of is the results of their hegemony in our education system. Maybe they have something. The left has dumbed down our citizens by shortchanging them in the classrooms (most kids need remedial education in college), so perhaps they feel their plan of a demo-robotic mass of people is right.
Americans have received 19 Republican debates and get to see all the warts dug up by a hostile press. Obama gets to raise a billion bucks and the slobbering mass of reporters could care less.So when a corporation gives a million that is bad, but when a union or a bundler does the same thing for the democrats, silence. We will see the leftwing whiners about Scalia's decision lose this year. Money is speech you lefty whiners, get over it.
